Rhys joined Man City's development squad at the age of five years old after being spotted at a satellite training session. Rhys trained with the squad for two years before signing for Accrington Stanley. Rhys' time at Accrington was unfortunately cut short due to a change of personnel within the GK coaching setup at Accy, having spent five years with the club. Two seasons followed in grassroots football before joining Clitheroe FC U17s development, playing two age groups up. Currently training with the first team and being coached by well-known and respected GK coach Paul Chapman. Winning honours with his grassroots and school team, runners-up in the English Schools Competition in 2022, and this season once again in the semi-final. An exciting future ahead for our young coach as he steps into the world of men's football
